Manager, Sales Development

Role Overview:

Trellix is seeking an experienced Sales Development Manager to help us scale a high performing Sales Development Team contrived of the best talent, exceed pipeline goals and prepare SDRs for the next step in their careers. This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Sales Development and is based in Plano, Texas / Remote.

Overview:

As a Sales Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our pipeline. You will be responsible for leading a team of sales development representatives (SDRs) to generate and qualify marketing leads. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of overachieving in sales development. Professional working proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of sales development representatives to achieve individual and team targets.
    • Provide ongoing training and development to enhance the skills and performance of the SDR team.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and teamwork within the sales development team.
    • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement effective sales development strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify new playbooks for lead to opportunity conversion.
    • Develop and refine inbound follow up processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in lead conversion.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to evaluate the success of lead generation efforts and make data-driven decisions.
    • Collaborate closely with marketing, product, and sales teams to align sales development efforts with overall go-to-market strategies.
    • Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and effectiveness of marketing campaigns to continuously improve lead generation efforts.
    • Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs for the sales development team and track progress towards goals.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations on sales development activities, pipeline metrics, and performance against targets for senior management.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement initiatives to enhance sales development effectiveness and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2+ years in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Proven experience in sales development or inside sales roles, with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, inbound lead qualification, and SDR technology tools (Salesforce, SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Linked In Sales Navigator).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Professional working proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.

Total compensation Pay Range: $70,000 to $130,000.  Actual base pay within this range will depend on varying circumstances, including the attainment of bonus opportunities, work location, individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
