Revenue Accountant

Role Overview:

The senior accountant position is part of the Japan Finance team in Japan Finance & Operations and will support Japan business. This role is partner with not only global Finance team and other finance function team in and outside Japan but also Japan business team such as Sales, Marketing, etc and back-office team as well. A successful candidate will be comfortable interacting directly with other cross-functional teams in and outside of Japan and working in a fast-paced / time-sensitive environment. 

As a member of the accounting team, and reporting into the Accounting Finance Manager, this position plays a critical role in the Japan accounting organization with full responsibility for the preparation of local accounts and supporting local statutory audits and detailed tasks described below in Key Responsibilities section.

この役割は、グローバルレベニューチームや国内外のその他のファイナンスチームと連携するだけでなく、営業、マーケティングなどの日本のビジネスチームやバックオフィスチームとも連携します。

レベニューアカウンタントは、月次、四半期、年次決算のレベニュー会計と、以下の「主な業務」で説明するその他のタスクを担当します。

本ポジションの担当として、Trellix のレベニュー会計およ財務ポリシーならびにTrellix の事業に対する理解を深めて頂く必要があります。

採用された候補者は、国内外の他の部門やチームとの直接なやり取りをし、決められた期限や時間が設けられた環境で作業できる事が求められます。
 
主な業務:
 • レベニュー会計やその他の財務部門と連携し、タイムリーで正確な財務報告業務
• 内部統制とポリシーの厳格な遵守と財務報告の完全性の確保
• 月次、四半期、年度末の決算業務

 o 調整仕訳の作成と転記

 o 残高照合の準備

 o 残高の差異を分析

 o 報告書の作成

 o 文書のファイリングと保管

• システムからビッグデータを取得し分析
• 法定報告の仕訳を作成
• ビジネス取引および契約のレビュー
• 国内外のチームメンバーとの連携
• ビジネスチームや他の部門チームとの連携
• 監査(内部および外部)の準備と対応サポート
• 業務に関連するプロジェクトへの参加
 
必要な経験/スキル:
 • 財務、会計、またはビジネスの学士号(望ましい)
• 最低5~7年の関連職歴
• 優れたコミュニケーションスキル – 日本国内外の他の部門のチームと直接なやり取り
• 細部にも注意を払う分析スキル
• 英語はビジネスレベル、日本語はネイティブレベル

This role is partner with not only global Revenue team and other finance function team in and outside Japan but also Japan business team such as Sales, Marketing, etc and back-office team as well.

The Revenue accountant will be responsible for revenue accounting for monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing and other tasks described below in Key Responsibilities section.

To be successful, the Revenue accountant will need to develop an understanding of Trellix’s Revenue Accounting and Finance policies and Trellix business.

A successful candidate will be comfortable interacting directly with other cross-functional teams in and outside of Japan and working in a fast-paced / time-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with Revenue accounting and other finance functions to ensure timely and
accurate financial reporting
• Ensure strict adherence to internal controls and policies and integrity of financial reporting
• Monthly, Quarterly, and Year End closing
o Prepare and post adjustment journal entries
o Prepare balance reconciliation
o Analyze balance flux
o Prepare reporting
o Filing and maintaining of documents
• Pull and analyze of a big data from the system
• Prepare Statutory Reporting journal entries
• Business deal and agreement review
• Work with team members in and outside Japan
• Partner with business team and other function and department team
• Prepare and support requirement from auditor (Internal & External)
• Participate role related projects

Required Experience/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business (preferable)
• Minimum of 5-7 years relevant career experience
• Strong interpersonal skills – able to communicate directly with other crossfunctional teams
in and outside of Japan
• Analytical skills with attention to details
• Business level in English and native in Japanese.
