Role Overview:
The Trellix Product organization is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Marketing Manager to contribute to go-to-market strategy and execution. In this role, working closely with product management, engineering, and sales engineering teams, you will be responsible for translating complex technical details into compelling messaging and content that resonates with our technical decision makers and influencers to ensure the successful adoption and growth of our products.
About the role:
-
Technical Messaging and Positioning: Develop and refine product messaging and positioning that effectively communicates the technical value proposition of our products to our technical decision makers. Emphasize the "how" and "why" from a technical perspective, including technical benefits, integration capabilities, security features, and performance metrics.
-
Target Audience Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of our technically-oriented target audience, including their needs, challenges, and buying processes.
-
Technical Content Creation: Create high-quality technical content, including whitepapers, technical blog posts, API documentation, solution briefs, presentations, and other materials that educate and inform technical audiences.
-
Sales Enablement: Equip the sales engineering team with the technical knowledge and resources needed to effectively sell our products to technical buyers. This includes developing and delivering technical training, creating technical sales tools (e.g., product deep dives, compelling demos, competitive comparisons), and supporting the sales team in handling technical objections.
-
Product Strategy Input: Collaborate with product management and engineering to provide input on the product roadmap and technical direction, based on insights gained from technical customers and market trends.
-
Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning: Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market strategies, with a focus on the technical aspects of product launches and ongoing marketing activities. Ensure that our products meet the technical needs and requirements of the target market.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, and sales teams to align product development, marketing, and sales efforts. Act as a key liaison between the technical side of the business and the market.
-
Technical Demos and Training: Develop and deliver compelling technical demonstrations and training sessions to internal teams, partners, and customers.
About you:
-
You possess a strong technical background and deep domain expertise, specifically with 10+ years of experience in Data Security or Email Security.
-
You excel at technical sales enablement, with proven experience developing and delivering effective training and technical sales tools.
-
You are highly collaborative, low-ego, and easy to work with, recognizing that the biggest wins come from partnership and cross-functional alignment. "One Team" is more than a promise—it is the core of how we work together.
-
You are a self-motivated storyteller and content creator, adept at translating complex technical details into compelling narratives for technical audiences (e.g., whitepapers, blog posts, presentations).
-
You have strong analytical skills, enabling you to understand technical market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs.
-
You have deep empathy for your customers and take their technical challenges to heart.
-
You are a driven professional who takes ownership of sales outcomes, even if you don't own the number directly.
-
You are fueled by curiosity, a lifelong learner who figures things out. Cybersecurity is your professional purpose—you are driven by the impact your work has on keeping your community safe.
