Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support our Trellix (formerly FireEye) product suite. This role serves as a technical authority and trusted advisor for both internal teams and customers, with deep expertise in Trellix’s endpoint, network, and threat detection technologies. The SME will play a critical role in deployments, escalations, technical enablement, and product optimization efforts. Job to be based out of Colorado Springs with frequent and consistent trips to client sites within 100 miles

About the Role

  • Serve as the lead technical expert on Trellix FireEye-based solutions, including:
      – Endpoint Security (HX)
      – Network Security (NX)
      – Email Threat Protection (ETP)
      – Helix Security Platform

  • Lead full deployment lifecycle: architecture, configuration, tuning, and ongoing support.

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex technical issues.

  • Act as a liaison between engineering, support teams, and the customer.

  • Mentor internal teams and consultants on Trellix product implementation and optimization.

  • Deliver technical documentation, workshops, and customer enablement materials.

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and suggest enhancements.

  • Conduct health checks, assessments, upgrades, and performance tuning engagements.

About the candidate:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with FireEye/Trellix products in enterprise or government environments.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles including threat detection, incident response, and malware analysis.

  • Proven experience deploying and supporting:
      – HX (Endpoint Security)
      – NX (Network Security)
      – EX/ETP (Email Protection)
      – Helix (SIEM/SOAR integration and use)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Comfortable leading discussions with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.

  • Relevant certifications a plus (e.g., Trellix certs, CISSP, GCIA, GCIH).

  • Experience integrating Trellix with SIEM/SOAR platforms and third-party tools.

  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

  • Background in technical consulting or services delivery.
