Role Overview:

Trellix is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Database Security engineering team. As an SDET, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. Your primary responsibility will be to improve software quality by identifying and addressing issues early in the development lifecycle.

About the role:

• Work closely with software developers, managers, and team to understand new product requirements, development stories and define test strategies.

• Responsible for development of test plans and strategies, identifying and automating test cases across various components of the software system.

• Develop test tools to replicate customer scenarios and integrate into feature and regression testing

• Develop and execute Non-functional test suites to deliver a performant and scalable software system.

• Develop the test environment for database security testing.

• Continuous and deep analysis of test results and data to identify problem and its cause.

• Execute test cases, analyze test results, and report defects in a timely manner.

• Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines, as an essential and efficient part of the software development process

• Remain up to date with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques related to software testing and quality assurance.

About You:

• Candidate should be having 4+ years working as a Software QA Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

• Should have a proven track record of shipping high quality and scalable software.

• Hands-on experience on DBs such as: MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL. Should be strong in SQL Queries and database stored procedures.

• Hands-on experience in writing clean code quickly and preferably on Python / Java scripting.

• Should have working experience in Automation of functional, API & UI test cases.

• Experienced in Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to drive identification and resolution of issues to ship under tight deadlines along with being able to drive features.

• Strong Knowledge of QA methodology and tools (TeamCity/Jenkins, Jira, github etc.)

• Should have working experience on Windows and Linux OS platforms.

• Database security testing is an advantage.

• Understanding of Cloud Computing, Virtualization is good to have.

• Strong in communication, self-driven attitude to be successful to work remotely.
