necessary to design, develop, and support Trellix’s network products,

About the Role:
- Development of the next-generation network security and threat management product suite
- Own significant areas of the code for both new feature/functionality development and to maintain and improve parts of the existing products and platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to develop new and improve on existing features
- Documenting business requirements and coming up with the technical solutions
- Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of performance, availability & scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product
- Active participation in our ongoing process enhancements, migration to native cloud technologies, and software development practices
About You:
- 10+ years of software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages
- Experience in Unix/Linux environments, large-scale distributed software systems, and cloud technologies.
- Thorough knowledge of Linux with C/Python/Golang programming
- Knowledge of docker containers, Kubernetes, native cloud technology stack, or public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) is required.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, & analysis skills
- Ability to understand, consume, and integrate with OSS and 3rd party APIs
- Knowledge of high availability in distributed Linux environments is a plus.
- Experience with agile programming and rapid prototyping is a plus
- Interested and able to learn other languages or technologies as needed
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience
