Job Title:

Staff / Senior Staff Software Engineer

Role Overview:

The candidate will work for Trellix’s network and email team, which is a group of top-notch software and QA engineers focusing on complex malware detection problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of the next generation malware detection system and threat management product suite.
  • Ownership of significant areas of the code for both new feature/functionality development as well as to maintain/redesign of the existing areas of the product.
  • Continuous focus and contribution in the areas of performance, availability & scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the product.
  • Active participation in our ongoing process enhancements and software development practices.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong C/C++ and Java programming development skills.
  • Experience with Python is required.
  • Linux programming skills.
  • Experience with Agile programming and rapid prototyping a plus.
  • Good to have experience with PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of network security problems and solutions.
  • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, & analysis skills.

  • Experience working in fast-paced development environments.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal and teamwork skills.
  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience.
