Sr QA Engineer

Role Overview:

Trellix is looking for Quality Assurance Engineer for MVX Security Content, ensuring detection and performance of delivered content used by myriad of MVX driven Trellix Products.
The candidate will work for Trellix’s security research team, which is a group of top notch security researchers specializing in malware analysis and detection engineering.

Responsibilities:
– Perform Quality Assurance of MVX Security Contents
– Perform , Prepare and Conduct Testing Scenarios and Conditions on Detection Engines and Appliances
– Enhance Trellix’s security content infrastructure and release process

Responsibilities:
–   Perform Quality Assurance of MVX Security Contents

–   Perform , Prepare and Conduct Testing Scenarios and Conditions on Detection Engines and Appliances
–   Enhance Trellix’s security content infrastructure and release process
 
Requirements:
–   Experience with handling QA for other engines using rules or signatures.

–   Experience in building automation that handles millions of files or inputs

–   Basic understanding of malware, file types and detection signatures (yara, clam)
–   Solid programming skills with script languages such as Python/Java is required.
–   Experience in QA for AV operations and SOC environments is a plus

–   Passionate to jump on anything where security research requires
–   Ability to come up with forward looking projects
–   Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis skills
–   Experience working in fast-paced development environments
–   Excellent written & verbal communication skills
–   Excellent inter-personal and teamwork skills
–   Self-driven, proactive, hardworking, team-player with a good sense of humor
–   BS/MS in computer science or equivalent experience
