Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

-We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems in cloud environments, particularly AWS or GCP. The candidate should have at least 8 years of experience in DevOps or related field and experience with a range of DevOps tools and technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain complex systems in cloud environments
• Automate software delivery and deployment pipelines
• Develop and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure application scalability and availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, as well as implement preventive measures
• Ensure high levels of security and compliance with industry standards
• Continuously evaluate and improve systems and processes to ensure optimal performance
• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions that ensure optimal performance and uptime of systems
• Develop and implement incident response plans that minimize downtime and ensure business continuity
• Design and implement system and application migration strategies that minimize downtime and ensure data integrity
• Migrate systems and applications to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• 8+ years of experience in DevOps or related field
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (at least 5+ years of experience with GCP or AWS, GCP experience preferred)
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IAC) tools, such as Terraform and Ansible
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Perl (5+ years of experience with Python, Perl experience is a plus)
• Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL or MongoDB (3+ years of experience with database systems)
• Experience with monitoring tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana (Experience with monitoring)
• Experience with incident response processes and procedures (Experience with incident response)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

The ideal candidate should also have experience leading and mentoring junior DevOps engineers, and be able to provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.
