Salesforce Development Manager

Role Overview:

As a Technical Development Manager at Trellix within our Corporate Platforms area, you will lead a team of software and QA engineers that work primarily on the Salesforce.com platform, specifically Service and Experience Cloud. This team is focused on supporting the needs of the Customer Success function within Trellix.

You will plan the workload of the engineering function by providing resources and managing direct activities to meet the needs of our customers while balancing the schedules and cost to the highest standards.
You will be responsible for handling, training, and mentoring our Dev and QA so they can implement successfully in turning the program design of our Solution Architects and Technical Architects into a configured solution that meets the customers’ needs.

About Role

  • Ensures successful delivery by managing the delivery team, monitoring performance, mitigating risks and removing blockers.
  • Manages the day-to-day activities for all resources assigned to the project team
  • Drives and develops the team’s agile practice.  Defines resource capacity.
  • Works with the product managers to ensure delivery meets their intent and vision  
  • Responsible for the application design, development, and support of Salesforce-related projects. The candidate must demonstrate dynamic leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.
  • Owns the team’s best practices and drives coding standards
  • Become a single point of contact for the entire team to resolve any impediments 
  • Assist business stakeholders in adoption and developing our Salesforce roadmap
  • Create a culture of learning and transparency
  • Cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms and behaviors
  • Identify and analyze problems, plans, tasks, and solutions
  • Provide guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues
  • Plan and schedule daily tasks, use judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices
  • Troubleshoot if errors occur to improve processes
  •  About You
  • 5 to 7 years designing experiences, including designs that address advanced use cases and/or high cognitive load challenges
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in design, product/interaction design, graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Expert-level application of user-centered design principles and design thinking to create customer value (a portfolio that demonstrates this is required) 
  • Proven history of approachable, constructive relationships with UX practitioners, internal stakeholders, and customers
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in approachable terms tailored for varied audiences
  • Ability to independently identify experience challenges
  • Ability to lead other UX practitioners
  • Cybersecurity experience is a plus

About you

  • 10+ years of technology development experienc,3+ years of Salesforce platform experience ,2+ years of leadership experience .
  • Strong Salesforce knowledge focusing on Service Cloud andor Experience Cloud, certifications a plus 
  • Understand on how to enhance the Salesforce platform through configuration and code, such as Apex code, flows, APIs
  • Strong understanding of dev ops, experience with Salesforce Devops Center a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of the Customer SuccessCustomer Support functions
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Proficient in all aspects of Agile development
  • Excellent project and change management skills 
  • Experience in managing delivery across workstreams andor teams
  • Strong technical background, developer experience a plus
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to connect with customers, partners, and internal team members
  • Collaboration and personal relationship building skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • A passion for software security and protecting customers
