Role Overview:

The inside sales organization at Trellix (formerly McAfee Enterprise and FireEye) is the fastest growing part of our sales team and is acknowledged as the paving ground for the top sales talent in the company, having promoted over 40% of their team last year, while the average rep exceeded their quota! are in a high-growth mode and looking for business development representatives with a consultative sales nature and belief and who want to promote the growth of their sales career in one hottest market sectors – security software.

As a Business Development Rep, you are responsible for cultivating account relationships, developing interest in our products, and working with our sales account managers. This role will also work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) regions on account management, lead generation and co-selling into our joint opportunities. You’ll go with Cloud Practitioner Training and Certification as part of your growth path working with AWS. This is team is part of Trellix’s long-term investment to aggressively drive new business, growth and gain market share.

What you’ll need to be successful:

Resilience is in your DNA. You’re a self-starter with previous account acquisition expertise selling software and services related products.  You possess a ‘hunter’ mentality and can adapt your plans as the market shifts.  Experience prospecting, making high volume calls a day and selling the value of security.  You are an innovative thinker, understanding that one size does not fit all and adapt to the customer on the other end. Ultimately you love to sell and win!

  • Previous sales or telephone prospecting experience
  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic sales organization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain CRM
  • Effective Communicator: ability to make complex issues easy to understand
  • Quick learning attributes coupled with intellectual curiosity 
  • Ability to share best practices, improve processes and messaging, and provide detailed reporting to Executive Management
  • Previous experience working with SaaS or Cloud-based solutions a plus
  • Excitement to work in a fast paced, high growth company and develop a career in sales
  • EMEA Position:  Fluent English and German

About the role:

  • The BDR (business development representative) will partner with sales and marketing to create phone-based lead generation, appointment setting, lead qualification and sales support to the Commercial Inside Sales team.
  • Manage lead management and prospecting activities
  • Conduct cold calls, email campaigns, and navigate organizational charts
  • Creative tactics to reach the executive management of enterprise IT
  • Meet opportunity/ appointment quota through phone and email prospecting and lead qualification
  • Develop and work on a prospecting plan of engagement, including calling guides, audience segmentation and approach
  • Qualify interested candidates and arrange sales appointments
  • Track all relevant qualification and support management activity using (including calls, prospect pipeline, account notes)
  • Quickly learn the technical aspects of the product, communicate the value proposition and react to objections, engaging questions and other FAQ's
  • Manage your schedule, lead pipeline, and campaigns to meet milestones and quarterly goals
  • Work with Inside Sales, Marketing, and Sales Engineering to increase team selling productivity
  • Provide value added market intelligence to the Corporate & Product Marketing teams
