Benefits Specialist/ Benefits Lead – Asia Pacific & India (APAC)
The Benefits Lead will have overall responsibility for the benefit programs and plans across 12 countries in the APAC region, including India and Japan. Administer and communicate our benefits program in the region regarding plan options, policy features, enrollment, and other requirements. Ensure company benefit plans follow country or other local jurisdictions laws. You will provide excellent customer service and provide support to employees. Partner with the Human Resources team and all other departments on benefit issues, keeping the HR Business Partners informed of any issues. You will report to the Director, Global Benefits. Remote role can be considered but onsite/ Hybrid at Bangalore is preferred.
About the Role:

Administer different regional benefits programs, which include Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life Insurance, other benefit plans or accounts, time off and retirement plans.

Be the main contact for benefit administration activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws, policies, and procedures.

Stay up-to-date with broader market benefit trends and make recommendations for benefit offering changes to the Benefits leader.

Be the primary contact for several benefit issues such as plan provisions, policy interpretation, procedures, coverage, enrollment eligibility, family status changes, claims, claims appeals procedures, and other benefit matters.

Oversee the management of our benefits vendor relationships, consultant relationships, contracts, and billing.

Develop and maintain effective communication strategies and education materials to ensure all benefit programs are fully understood and appropriately valued by Trellix employees. Design and maintain benefits sites on our internal Intranet.

Administer retirement or pension plans, communicate with payroll team, manage audits and all related communications.

Perform audits to verify integrity of data in HRIS/Benefits system (Workday) to match vendor eligibility reports.

Manage a repository of benefit policies, plan documents, forms, and carrier information.

Partner with country benefits advisor to resolve customer/vendor issues.

Be a primary contact with benefit vendors regarding ongoing plan administration. Ensure that vendor processes are in place and working properly.

Provide global oversight, strategic direction and demonstrate a strong working knowledge of international benefit programs.

Maintain knowledge of and analyze government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations.

Evaluate and advise on internal processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Manage regional wellbeing platform and communications and research new practices and trends in employee benefits and wellness.

Manage all leave and time off plans, processes and payments.
About You:

Proven HR professional experience in Benefits Administration including Health and Welfare, compliance, time off, leave of absence management experience, and managing and resolving complex Benefit issues.

Strong data analysis skills: the ability to extract and summarize data to make data-supported business decisions.

Proficient in Workday. Experience with a variety of HRIS systems is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and support global initiatives.

Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to prepare slide deck presentations and present materials verbally in person and over video conference.

Effective project management, spreadsheet, and reporting skills. Proficient in both Microsoft and Google applications.

Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrate ability to partner and communicate with senior leadership and employees at all levels of the organization.

Effective interpersonal skills necessary to advise, counsel, recommend and approve actions on a variety of benefits issues. Experience working with consultants and managing external vendor relationships.
