Role Overview:

Trellix is hiring a Regional Account Manager for Public Sector. This role will cover new and renewal business in the Midwest.

Come join the Public Sector team at Trellix! The Regional Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing against the overall sales strategy of the territory.  The Account Manager plans and directs all sales activities including, but not limited to, resource planning, budget review, contract adherence as well as working with engineering, support, and inside sales teams.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Establish short and long-term goals plus a plan in line with corporate objectives
  • Sell products to new and/or current customers in an assigned region to achieve or exceed assigned quota
  • Contact prospective customers to determine product needs and perform sales presentations to match company’s products and identified needs
  • Prospect and develop business, respond to RFPs, and develop proposals for presentation to customer
  • Coordinate account resources with representatives from marketing, Pre-Sales engineering, and development
  • Remain knowledgeable of all Trellix products to facilitate sales efforts
  • Responsible for guiding sales engineering resources as needed
  • Maintain sales records and prepare sales reports as required
  • Provide follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction with products provided
  • Manage all aspects of the evaluation program
  • Continually monitor and adjust to competitive activities within region and maintain an active pulse on the general business climate

About You: 

  • You have 5+ years of professional experience with 4+ years of direct enterprise software sales experience
  • You have experience selling to government, state and local
  • You have a highly consultative sales background with superb communication skills
  • You have a proven track record of closing seven figure deals & a history of exceeding sales quotas
  • You possess intimate knowledge of the territory and clients within
  • You have prior experience and credibility selling to the C level
  • You have the capacity to think and act on both a tactical and strategic level
  • You have a high level of ethical behavior
  • You have a high level of ambitions balanced with good business judgment and instincts
  • You have the ability to build strong and continuous partner relationships
  • You have high intellect and the capacity to multitask
  • Your proven interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills will enable you to collaborate and be influential at all levels
  • You adapt to change, and are open to new ideas. You adjust plans to meet changing business needs.
  • You are able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.  You build customer confidence, assume responsibility for solving customer problems and ensure commitments to customers are met
